[Read more…] about North Walsham Community Network – Website and social media volunteerRole description – To make visits to an older person (or persons) in Norfolk to teach them how to use a device so that can get better connected and do things online shopping and banking.
Minimum time commitment & flexibility – Flexible as it maybe once a week or once a month depending on the client but must be between Mon-Fri 10-4pm.
Any specific skills or experience required – Good communication skills. • An ability to talk through how to use a tablet/iPad from basic usage (turning on the tablet and answering a video call) to responding to emails and online shopping. • Reliability and trustworthiness. • Ability to work on own initiative. • A positive and cheerful outlook.
All roles require DBS check.
One off volunteer taster/ drop-ins available – No.
Training offered and skills development potential – Training and ongoing support is provided. Level of training will depend on the volunteer role. Contact us for more information. Expenses, such as the cost of mileage and phone calls are paid for.
Other information: Volunteering is a great way to give back to your local community and make a difference in people’s lives. Without the help and support of our incredible volunteers, we would not be able to help as many people as we do.
